Creating this BLOG!!!

The process of creating the blog was particularly difficult. I’m a fond user of the internet and I’ve never thought of creating a blog for leisurely reasons. After creating this blog…I know why i had made that decision! Analysing the effectiveness of the website is simple because like any other site, it has to be easy to navigate around and the information that you find needs to make sense, be appropriate and useful. Trying to verbalise my finding was more difficult. Because this site has so many elements to it made this process even more difficult. I wanted to discuss everything that I found when I explored the site but there is so much information on this site that my blog would’ve been three time longer than it is now!

Trying to make the blog aesthetically pleasing was also another experience that made creating the blog a tedious task! I had no idea how to copy an image off the webpage so that I could include it into the blog! I wanted to copy some the animations from the site to include them in the blog but I couldn’t figure it out!

I could see how the theory of multiliteracies and multi-modal texts are connected with the use of ICTs in the classroom. The use of internet website allows students to investigate and explore concepts that are used in the classroom in an interactive manner. This makes learning fun and moves away from the traditional use of pencils and paper method of teaching and learning!!
